Wheel Bolt-Pattern Question

Hello,

I'm looking into buying some winter tires mounted on steelies and was curious whether I could get 5x114.3 mm offset to fit on my GTI.

I believe the GTI & Rabbit are between 5x110 and 5x112. I've managed to fit 115 offset wheels on 114.3 in the past. Just wondering how this would go...
